Consumers’ Counsel Working to Provide Green Pricing
Option to Customers

Ohioans are becoming more conscious of the impact that utilities have on the environment. As the residential utility consumer advocate, the Office of the Ohio Consumers’ Counsel (OCC) has worked with major utilities throughout the state to develop green pricing programs. These programs allow consumers to pay a small premium on their electric bills to support the development of renewable energy.

Duke Energy Customers Can GoGreen Today

Now, customers of Duke Energy Ohio are able to support clean energy by signing up for the GoGreen program. This program is the result of a collaborative effort among the utility, the OCC and other parties.

Duke Energy customers are encouraged to sign up for this program and bring Ohio and the United States closer to energy independence.
