The Office of the Ohio Consumers' Counsel (OCC) is committed to actively participating in the legislative process involving issues relating to public utilities. The OCC monitors legislative activities, provides testimony on bills relating to utility issues and is available to assist legislators in the drafting of legislation. The OCC also assists members of the public in taking action to make their voices heard on legislative issues. Visit the OCC's "Take Action" page to learn more about how you can make an impact.
Ohio’s elected officials should contact the OCC if their constituents have a question or concern about their public utilities services. The OCC maintains a Consumer Services Division to help address these types of issues and advocate on behalf of residential utility customers. Please direct constituent questions or concerns to our toll-free hotline at 1-877-PICK-OCC (1-877-742-5622). Legislators who would like more information should call the OCC’s Director of Government Affairs Amy Gomberg, at 614-466-9539 or email gomberg@occ.state.oh.us.
