Columbia Gas customers: Your voices were heard
Action
The Office of the Ohio Consumers' Counsel (OCC) urged concerned organizations
and consumers to write letters to the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio
supporting the OCC's request that Columbia Gas of Ohio be required to make
customer bills available in large print and Braille formats upon request
by visually impaired customers.
Result
While the Commissioners denied OCC's request, they directed the PUCO
staff to hold a meeting with Columbia Gas of Ohio, the OCC and other
interested stakeholders to discuss large print bills and the need for
a Braille option.
The OCC appreciates the efforts of the organizations that wrote letters
